Are children welcome at your campsite?
There are opportunities for play and adventure at our campsite through freedom of open space; our aim is for children to have a truly enriching experience.
There is a shallow stream bounding the land in the wooded area the north side of the cow track, we have cows and sheep, we make silage and hay in the summer - so there are tractors around in the surrounding fields. These risks are small and should be self-evident - but if you are not clear, please ask! Please be aware that there are fire pits. Frome View Camping accepts no responsibility for injury incurred on site and parents are responsible for the supervision of their children on site at all times.
Can we bring dogs to the campsite?
No, sadly we cannot allow dogs on our campsite, due to the fact that we are a working dairy farm and have various livestock. Whilst the campsite is securely fenced, the risk of disease spread has to be considered being that the campsite field is used for grazing when the campsite is closed.
Can we setup a fire pit, BBQ or camp fire?
Please only use the three designated campfire places and do not enlarge or alter the position of the designated campfire places. Do not leave your campfire unattended and think carefully about whether or not to light a fire if it is windy. Frome View Camping accepts no liability for injury or damage caused by your campfire. By lighting it you accept full responsibility for it. Ensure fire is out before retiring to your tent, campervan or caravan. During periods of prolonged dry and extreme heat camp fires / fire pits / BBQs will not be permissible. Any type of disposable BBQ is not allowed, however BBQs that are raised off the ground are permitted and can be placed a safe distance away from your tent, campervan or caravan.
Can we park cars next to our pitch?
Yes, you can park your car next to your pitch. Please be aware there is 5mph speed limit on the campsite and to drive cautiously, responsibly and respectfully at all times, being mindful of fellow campers - both adults and children.
